EVERY GUY FIGURES THIS OUT IN THE SAME ORDER
Stage one: the razor.
You already own one. So you use it. And for about a day, it works. You're smooth, you feel great about yourself, you wonder why you waited.
Then day two arrives. Stubble, but angry. Little red bumps where the hair decided to grow sideways instead of out. Somewhere on your back is a patch you couldn't see and definitely missed. And you did all of this holding a blade in places that really don't have margin for error.
So you figure the razor is the problem.
Stage two: the trimmer.
Safer. Faster. No bumps. This feels like progress right up until you realize you didn't actually solve anything. You're not smooth. You're short. The sweat still has something to cling to. The feeling you were going for is still not the feeling you have.
So you go looking for something that lasts.
Stage three: waxing.
Credit where it's due, it works, and it works for weeks. You will also never forget it. You have to grow everything out first, salon appointments stack up fast, and the home kit sitting in your bathroom is a decision you make exactly once. Ingrowns still show up anyway.
By now you've spent about three years and a few hundred dollars figuring out what you actually wanted.
Stage four: the part you could've started at.
Cream doesn't cut the hair, it dissolves it at the surface. Apply, wait four minutes, wipe. No blade, so nothing to nick. Smooth, not short. And it reaches the places a razor has no business being.
It's not permanent because nothing off a shelf is, and anyone telling you different is lying. You'll do it again in a couple of weeks. Coarse hair takes closer to eight minutes. Patch test the first time.
That's the whole list of downsides. Compare it to stage three.
